Our Grand Designs Project

As interior designers who love a challenge we are thrilled to have been brought on board to one of Devon’s most exciting new architectural designs – a project that, excitingly, is being covered by Channel 4’s Grand Designs!

The building designed by Squirrel Design Ltd in Britain’s beautiful Dartmoor sees the positioning of fractured wall panels at beautiful angles with floor-to-ceiling glass vistas. The building takes full advantage of some stunning rural views that span far into the distance, and the design is carbon negative.

As the interior designers, we have been propelled by this concept throughout the whole design process, working closely with the contractors from the very earliest stages, ensuring the highest quality and creating interiors that are true to the space.

We have designed all of the spaces including a gym & games space, bedrooms, living room, hallway, and outdoor hot tub area, taking into account at all times the needs and preferences of the clients, as well as staying true to the architects’ vision.

Alongside sourcing some beautiful high-end furniture pieces, we’ve designed beautiful bespoke cabinetry with conceptually sculptural forms, echoing the unique shapes and lines of the architecture. We’ve sourced wall finishes and designed internal doors that are clean and contemporary as well as welcoming and homely.

We’ve also planned ingenious window treatments to accommodate the highly particular shape and dimensions of the windows, making sure to create a solution that does not distract from the views and the concept of the building, but which subtly softens the space and veils the darkness in the evening.

Good design requires careful thought, leaving none of the detail to chance. We’ve ensured that no stone has gone unturned!

With beautiful, meticulously considered kitchens and bathrooms by Sapphire Spaces and lighting by Amos Lighting, the interiors of this unique space really is set to be of the highest quality, showcasing the crème-de-la-crème of design in the South West.

Our designs have been received with complete joy by the clients, who are now eagerly awaiting moving in! We are so excited to see all the plans reach fruition and to see our clients live in their new Grand Designs space.
