Here at idesign, we feel very blessed to have been involved in the designing of the new iconic Lloyds Lounge in Exeter’s vibrant city centre where we were tasked to inject life into a brand new restaurant, a glass box on a raised platform within St Catherine’s square.

idesign took this project in its stride, creating a simultaneously glamorous and intimate space for 60 people.

As the ‘Lloyd’s Kitchen’ family are avid travellers to Dubai and Marbella, taking these destinations as our inspiration was the obvious choice. With a backlit white ama bar and table tops in the same material, it gave the space flow and a fabulous luxe feel. The aqua velvet and matt gold colours incorporated into the scheme ooze an on-trend, luxurious aesthetic. Curved banquet seating added an exciting dynamic to the space, and a quilted fabric wall both solved acoustic issues and provided an effective textural variety within the space.

Lighting is key to the interior bar design as this day-to-night venue needed to change personality from a laid-back, artisan eatery and coffee lounge by day, to an atmospheric cocktail bar and dining venue by night. We have pools of lighting offering subtle illumination during the day and, in the evening, tables are romantically candlelit alongside the comforting glow of the central bar. Without doubt, however, the showstoppers are the stunning selection of Moooi Raimond lights which give the space that extra special edge and make it the unique venue that it is.

LED Leisure instructed idesign with the task of refurbishing their first floor restaurant, Ocean Deck, into a high end eatery and destination in Exmouth.

We took the stunning view as the backdrop to our design by using an aqua colour palette with feature metallic sea-themed wallpaper. Timber textures and slate materials for the bar and its decoration ensure a beautiful and calm harmony with the surroundings. Feature cluster glass lights (provided by Amos lighting) zone the seating areas effectively and create a soft evening ambience to provide guests with the most relaxing of experiences.

The design is gorgeous and has helped to ensure the enjoyment of the restaurant’s guests and the success of our client’s business.

Long-standing leader in caravan sites, The Caravan and Motorhome Club, approached idesign to create rendered visuals for their new restaurant ‘The Wanderer’ for their site in Norwich, and in line with a company-wide rebranding.

Our design gave our client a space that powerfully reflected the great outdoors, in a way that would be enjoyable to both children and adults alike. Driftwood textures allowed for a simultaneously nautical and rustic feel, whilst a mulberry and navy colour scheme provided a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Zoning a separate area for both seating for families, and another for board games tables was key, and was achieved through effective positioning of relevant seascape art.

In line with our clients aims, we created a nurturing and wholesome space for families to spend quality time together on holiday.

have completed the renders for CMC’s site in Brixham. Full refurbishment to take place later in the year.

idesign were involved in conjuring a concept that could be applied to each of the Caravan and Motorhome Club’s reception spaces across all of its sites. Inspired to create a rustic feel, timber and slate textures were integral to the design.

Colour schemes were devised on a bespoke basis to complement the specific location of each site, and thought was given to how each of the spaces might be made to feel personal to each and every camper. Since the space was to work as an ‘Essentials’ shop and an information point as well, some careful consideration was given to the way in which sub spaces could be made distinct from one another in a visually coherent way.

With our help, each site now has an effective and welcoming nerve-centre that functions to fully enhance the experience of our client’s customers.
