10 years experience in the retail sector
Retail interior design is important for any retail premises. It is important that retail spaces are well laid out with feature items on display, clear branding signage and on trend or brand specific colour scheme. The target market needs to be established early on in a design so that their needs are met. The idesign team has over 10 years experience within the retail sector, working with a number of brands to improve the shopping experience. We offer bespoke joinery details for manufacture and a full fit-out service. We can work nationwide to bring the retail interior design projects to fruition.
PROJECT: CARL SCARPA
LOCATION: IRELAND AND UK
Long-standing, Irish shoe retailer, Carl Scarpa, invited idesign on board to design a number of their retail premises across the UK and Ireland (including their flagship store in Dublin), and their travelling events stands.
In line with the client’s recent rebranding, idesign happily devised a powerful boutique concept centring on achieving a strong tonal contrast through the use of bold metallic golds next to clean, fresh whites. Additional impactful blue and green accent colours lifted the decorative scheme to bring it to life, creating an attractive end result. Our design for the travelling stands was creative and innovative, ensuring that the stands were collapsible and easily transportable, whilst at same time looking consistent with the interiors for the full-time premises.
We at all times understood our role in ensuring Carl Scarpa’s ongoing business success through achieving an appealing look that was consistent with their ethos. As a result, the end designs achieved a strong visual aesthetic as well as being in total harmony with the client’s vision.
The design for the Morgan showroom was to create a British industrial look to showcase the bespoke manufacture of the cars. The brief was to design a retail and seating area with a new office. The car accessories unit allows the client to hand pick their morgan choosing paint colours, stirring wheels etc. ready for manufacture, all displayed on an
in-built light box. All bespoke joinery allows products to be displayed on sloping shelves held in place by leather straps. Vintage tan leather chesterfields complete the look.
PROJECT: SANREMO / VOYAGER COFFEE
LOCATION: HACKNEY, LONDON
This unusual space is located in an arched bridge in Hackney. The space had to provide Sanremo with many purposes; retail display for their coffee machines, workstation space and retail area. Layout planning was key with this project to zone the different areas and maximise on storage space. A large central island where the coffee machines are displayed is the focal point of the design. Industrial raw materials like birch play and black stainless steel add to the painted brick walls. Metal track lighting and theatre spot lights finish the dramatic atmosphere.
PROJECT: DUSK LIGHTING SHOWROOM
idesign was appointed to design Dusk’s Lighting lower showroom. Dusk Lighting is one of the South West’s leading suppliers of contemporary lighting, based in Exeter they required a showroom to exhibit their selection of lighting. Crate boxes were designed to showcase the lighting and a grey tone to the walls created a contemporary rustic interior
